Fantastic space, everything you need. Comfy bed, beautifully clean. Sally made me feel comfortable to come and go as I pleased. Milk in the fridge was a nice detail rather than UHT packets, great value for money, nice details.

The Nest is a perfect cost room with bathroom equipped with a kettle/ coffee/ tea and body wash/ soap. The hosts were extremely kind, attentive and responsive and they had a place inside to store our bikes. The breakfast was amazing (full English and cereals as well as coffee) and brought by Steve directly to our room in the morning. It was the perfect stay for a calm countryside getaway!

We stayed at The Nest for a couple of nights in September 2023, for a wedding at Rumbold’s Farm 15 minutes walk away. Very convenient! The Nest is a lovely place to stay and ticked all our boxes. Spotlessly clean, lovely fresh linen and a comfy bed, massive bath and a shower cubicle, and feels very much like a nest, cosily tucked away on the first floor of an annexe separate to the house. It has a warm atmosphere.
Sally and Steve are top hosts. Both charming and friendly but very professional. Steve’s chef training comes through in his delicious food. We ate dinner and breakfast outside in a little courtyard. Breakfast eggs kindly provided by the hens clucking and foraging around us -the other side of a wire fence. Delicious homegrown tomatoes on the plate. After our dinner we enjoyed the company of an affectionate cat in the light and heat of a flaming fire pit. We will make The Nest our first choice of stay if we need to stay in the area again. And probably will even if we don’t need to!

Sally was an excellent host, very friendly and responsive. We had both the cooked breakfast and the continental, both of which were delicious and good value. we were lucky to be able to sit outside to eat next to the chickens which was lovely and Sally kindly let us borrow wine glasses and cutlery etc for a takeaway curry we had at the outside table too! Lovely area for exploring local pubs and walking. Thank you for having us!
