Accommodation at The Nest is separate to the main house so that you can come and go at your leisure. The space is light, spacious and comfortable with a king-sized bed and crisp white linen. The en-suite bathroom has a separate bath and shower and is complete with a stack of fluffy towels. The room has every comfort that you would expect including tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk in a small fridge, flatscreen television with freeview channels and free, secure WiFi. Breakfast is served in the comfort and privacy of your own room (or outside if the weather is warm) and at a time to suit you although it is not included in the nightly rate. We offer a wide choice from full English to Continental, from porridge to pancakes from £7.50 per person. Our eggs are collected each day, freshly laid from our own hens. We can cater for special dietary requirements but please give us notice in advance, if possible.
Note for Wedding and Party Guests: We strongly advise that you contact us well in advance if you think you will need a taxi after a wedding or party. Taxis must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. Plaistow and the surrounding villages are small and remote and taxis are not available at short notice.
The Longbourn Supper:
We offer a varied evening menu which is often popular for those who have travelled a long distance to reach us and do not want to get back in the car again to go out to eat. All dishes are homemade with fresh ingredients and served straight from our kitchen to your room. The cost is £25 per person and includes a dessert and half bottle of house red or chilled white or rose wine. Please note that we require 24 hrs notice to ensure we have the freshest ingredients and a menu can be sent to you prior to your arrival.
Barbecue Packs:
We also have a barbecue available for your use and a large, private outside dining area. We provide charcoal, firelighters and utensils and you provide the cooking skills…! Barbecue packs are available from £22.50 per person including a jug of Pimms or ice-cold lagers and we cater for meat lovers and vegetarians. Please note that we require 24 hrs notice to ensure we have the freshest ingredients and a menu can be sent to you prior to your arrival.
